How do I create a PayPal Account

Step By Step Instructions

  1. To set up your account, click on the link: www.paypal.com
  2. On the left hand side of the page, under Account login, click on Sign up.
  3. You will be taken to the PayPal set up page.
  4. Select “United Kingdom” from the dropdown menu.
  5. Click on Get Started (The account for business).
  6. On the next page, from the dropdown menu select “Website Payments Standard” and click Continue.
  7. On the next page, complete the Account Signup Form providing your business details. Then click Continue.
  8. Now complete the Business Account Sign Up page, confirming your email address.
  9. Click Yes to agree to PayPal’s terms and conditions, enter the security code as requested and then click Continue.
  10. You will now be asked to validate your email address. Check your email for a message from PayPal and click on the link embedded in the message. You will be taken back to the website where you will be asked to Confirm your details.
  11. On the next page, click Continue.
  12. You will now be asked to update your business profile.
     

You will now have completed the first stage of your account set up.
 

Account Integration

  1. Log into your PayPal account and click on Profile.
  2. Click on Website Payment Preferences.
  3. Set “Auto Return” to On by clicking on the radio button.
  4. Enter your Return URL:
    https://subdomain.ctc-aspire.co.uk/paypal-in.php
  5. Where “subdomain” is your E8 Portal microsite name.
  6. Scroll down and set “Payment Data Transfer” to On.
  7. Scroll down to the bottom of the page (leaving the other values unchanged) and click Save.
  8. Click on Website Payment Preferences a second time. Scroll down to the “Payment Data Transfer” heading and copy the Identity Token to the clipboard.
  9. In your Back Office Shop Info page, paste the Identity Token into the text box provided and click Save Changes.
     

Specifying a Bank Account

  1. Before you can receive money from PayPal you need to set up a bank account.
  2. Log into your PayPal account and click on Profile and from the dropdown menu select Add or Remove Bank Account.
  3. Enter your Bank details, check they are correct, and click Continue. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the setup process.
     

Verifying Your Bank Account

  1. To verify your bank account, you must first check that a payment from PayPal has been made into your specified bank account. Then click on the link:
    https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_login-run
  2. Enter your username and password.
  3. Click Login.
  4. You will be asked to validate your bank details.
     

Your PayPal Account is ready to use.
