Terminology

As far as possible, these help pages are intended to be written in layman’s language. However, it is inevitable that a few technical terms will remain.

Front End 
The part of the website your visitors see.

Back Office
A secure website through which you can control all your front end website content together with the look and feel.

Meta Tags
Meta Data is data about data and was traditionally found on card catalogues in libraries. Web pages also include Meta data in the form of Meta tags. Description and keyword tags are commonly used to describe the Web page's content. Every search engine use this data when adding pages to their search index. The title tag is an element that also belongs in the header of a Web page and although is not part of the Meta data is included here since it is required in every HTML and XHTML document.

HTML
HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language, this is the basic language used for building websites.
